1) Finding your voice and freedom in being yourself:
In the competitive world that we live in, it can be feel extremely hard to be ourselves. However, when on stage we can’t play ‘it safe’, an audience can’t connect to a speaker if they can’t see the human behind the delivery, no matter how much technique there is.
Technique can impress people to a certain extent, but it is only your personality that can leave a long-lasting impression. An audience shouldn’t walk away from a speech saying ‘I heard a similar speech before’. Theres always something particular to each individual that needs to be revealed.
In our workshops, we encourage everyone to be themselves by helping people to connect to who they, as we believe that simply being yourself is more than enough!
2) You will get plenty of practice:
Our workshops are very practice-oriented as we believe that practice makes perfect. We make sure that every single attendee participates in every exercise, everyone gets an equal time for participation and feedback. Our workshops are 90% practice-based and 10% theory.
3) You will get to play while learning.
From running these workshops since 2013 we have found that through playfulness we can reconnect with an inner child that isn’t self-conscious but is more impulsive and intuitive. And it’s through reconnecting to this child that we can ease our anxieties and worries, so in all of our workshops in the first half of our classes during our warm-up’s we get everyone to really let loose and play, so we can get out of heads and play.
I know that you have a lot of responsibilities and that you need a steady flow of time, money and other resources, but regular doses of fun can help you to accomplish your goals. You may protest that you don’t have enough time, money or energy to play. Yet, I can assure you that playfulness is a wonderful investment that yields immediate returns.
’When you have fun and laugh, you relax. This relaxation gives you a greater inflow of ideas, spiritual connections, confidence to follow your instincts and energy. With new inspirations and energy you can better manifest your desires. Your relaxed and radiant personality attracts wonderful and helpful people to you. Your positive outlook creates new opportunities for you. When you look at life in this way, you can’t afford not to have fun.’ (Doreen Virtue)

After our advanced course you will feel comfortable with making use of powerful rhetorical device. You will feel comfortable with speaking in front of an audience of 60 people.
5) Get trained according to different practices including actor’s training.
We found that drawing from other training practices is very beneficial for building confidence so that we do not limit ourselves to practicing only public speaking. We draw certain elements from actor’s training, improvisational comedy, physical theatre, Chekhov’s technique, Stanislavski’s method, and Sanford Meisner’s principles. We also draw on elements from stand up comedy and clowning technique. So you will have the benefit of learning not only according to one set way, but following a methodology that draws from different perspectives.
We believe that a holistic teaching approach works best as different people resonate better with some techniques than others.
